Bit late to this, but I wouldn't be too concerned about a class action. Unless there's some ASX requirements being breached here that I'm not seeing, they'd have to essentially be suing VMC for damages from defamation. They could also look at taking them under Fair Trading Acts for misleading or deceptive behaviour (maybe).

Except companies can't be defamed as such... so it's a much higher threshold. Either way they'd basically have to show that VMC completely fabricated a claim and did it primarily with malicious intent to damage the other party.

Only things I can see that would make sense. Extremely difficult claims to make.
