Hi ivabiggon.
If CXY lose the Court case then the price will go as low as it can go I should imagine and flogging off anything to meet whatever costs may result. Good QC's and Barrister's certainly are not cheap and can earn more in a week than the average person can in a year.
Losing the case may not see the end of CXY, but the supposition may certainly put it into the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). The mines aside, for whatever they may be worth in a fire sale, IMO for myself, CXY's main asset is it's IP. Hypothetically if THAT was brought into questionable doubts regarding it's viability, then well, sorry to say it may well be game over or thereabouts in a worst case scenario. I guess that's why there are still sellers at this point on the assumption 'something' is better than 'nothing'.
My personal view for my own investment though is of a more positive bent, otherwise I wouldn't be in list to purchase. It is certainly a high risk high reward scenario at present and as you said, I wouldn't be placing any sheep station on purchasing. I do like the possibilities on available information leaning more towards a possible success for CXY. For me that would be the short term bet. Perhaps if that occurs, then one can start looking at longer term value possibilities on the horizon.
As I've stated before, should such success occur, then down the track I think there may be an inevitable SP re-evaluation. I would guesstimate at around 10-1, to allow for future CR's and/or SPP's. I imagine such would need to be done on the back of good news. Whilst I abhor dilution from a small investors point of view, it is a necessary evil at times for companies to gain prosperity. Or at least allow them to keep their heads above water until they can do so.
The above hypothetical's certainly may have it's negatives, however one has to face it, if CXY wasn't in trouble we wouldn't be looking at it's present SP value. I'm just trying to look at the pro's and con's as objectively as I can.
Having said all that, as I've previously stated, I think the possibilities lean more towards the positive than the negative for the time being. I lean more towards the scenario that CXY may have been shafted by the Gov. (As welll may many an investor here). Unfortunately, whether that's right or not, only hindsight will attest to.
I agree, for my money, worth a punt if one can get the price one judges as good value.
Sorry I got a bit long winded there, good luck, cheers.
