Sumitomo exited the Solomon Islands as a
disgraced company that also identified that vexatious undermining emails were sent from the offices of this Billion Dollar company. The corrupt behaviour that was identified in the courts was not some accident, but a planned and deliberate, attempted sabotage of a legitimate competing company. Let us not forget this abhorrent behaviour.
I have no doubt that this continues to be a sour taste in the memory of employees and associates of Sumitomo and those that oppose Axiom Mining, a company, that has followed the rules, and have addressed every component of Australian Company compliance. Don't confuse obstacles, corrupt behaviour of others, or unforeseen circumstances as non compliance.
To offer a Mining Licence and then withhold an exporting licence is the most disgraceful, frustrating and unintelligent outcome that cannot be justified. Why any company would invest in the Solomon Islands due to this political indecisiveness is beyond comprehension. It is in the interests of Shareholders and Landowners that the appropriate licences be awarded.
Any legitimate shareholder should be extremely concerned as to why these appropriate licences have not been awarded. As a shareholder it is in my interest and that of landowners, to see Axiom mining succeed.
