Back of the envelope calcs:
140 movements x 30klm =4200klm per day...
Assuming fuel consumption of 1 litre per klm, the cost per day in fuel alone would be in the vicinity of US $10668.00 Even applying a bulk purchase discount, the fuel cost is up there.. The assumption is made on public road compliant vehicles (semi tippers) as opposed to mining trucks..
On top of the fuel would be the maintenance costs etc which also wouldn't be cheap....
What I'm getting at is, would it be cost effective to move the plant? or parts of the plant that would significantly reduce the need for so many transport movements?
