There was. Donaldson (KDR) made mention of the phrasing in SMS's a number of times; "hope this puts your Board's mind at rest", etc. The final (slightly threatening) communique seems to have altered the terms to sweeten the deal (I think). Like I said, too much was said for it all to be one offer.
