Sumitomo always talked of things being rectified by the government. Now their back door diplomacy has obviously failed, they have decided to go to court again in case that mirrors the one they lost in 2008. If the landowners don't want you, they don't want you. Full stop. Neither the customary landowners nor the trust want Sumitomo.
I think the case is good. It resolves once and for all these issues. And by all accounts, the lease and mining permits are absolutely in order.
Why bother trying to catch todays falling knife?
