APT is actually very good at waiving late fees providing you have the conversation with them, preferably ahead of time. I've seen a number of anecdotal post on social media etc about this. I assume APT are of the notion, that a post about them being ethical is going to generate them more sustainable revenue over the long term than it costs them in the short term [to waive the late fee].
