If we look at 323 treatments ( excluding vaccines ) they can be categorised into 3 broad approaches.

1. Anti Viral drugs that directly affect the reproduction/ replication of Covid 19 in the body.

2. Drugs or compounds that calm the immune system down.

3. Anti bodies that can target the virus, and a subset of plasma therapy ( gained from people infected)

So, if we have a quick look at anti body therapy. Astra Zeneca is having political problems with distribution.

One could hypothesised that anti bodies may have some reaction to the body.

So, we knew a decade ago that anti bodies have some interference on the immune system.

So, is it more haste and less speed at the moment, compared to more speed less haste.

It is very unfortunate to have bad press on vaccines. The populace will not take lightly to them if they are deemed suspect in my opinion.
