Yet more bogus BS which you've obtained from your trawling around the Twitterati looking for fodder that reinforces your own ideological pre-disposition.

For starters, because people who die due to Covid-related reasons are at, or in excess of life expectancy, had the not succumbed to Covid, a significant proportion of then would have succumbed to a reason from a morbidity cause represented by the other bars.

So to the extent that the red Covid bar was not there this year, the remaining bars would have been bigger.

Which is why it is excess deaths that is the relevant metric.

And on that note, according to mortality.org, Sweden is running at 2,468 excess deaths, year to date, and 1,840 excess deaths for the 12-months to date.

Not just that, but the excess death rate for Sweden since the early onset of the pandemic, has actually been negative for the past 5 months, to the tune of 1,376 deaths less than for the same period in prior years.

Secondly, Sweden is currently cycling a period last year in which the death rate in the country was very low compared to normal years: in 2019 deaths in Sweden were a significant 3,322 deaths lower than the average of the preceding years:

    2015: 89,666
    2016: 88,548
    2017: 89,403
    2018: 89,414
    2019: 85,936

Third, Sweden has a natural death rate of 9.0 deaths per million citizens per annum, which is 38% higher than Australia's 6.5 deaths per million citizens per annum.

So unless your good "Doctor" from Twitter adjusts for these sorts of highly relevant factors, he is really just talking a load of histrionic gumfph.

Gumph which unquestioning ideologues like you are happy to perpetuate.
