I posted this point 6 months ago and barely got a response, however i think your argument is well worth discussion .
Public health systems only have so much cash and are going to choose the most cost efficient treatment, thats a given.
Private health insurers likewise......its only a few who will have the 'choice' to spend big on a 'potential' preventative. And we dont know yet how 'potential'.
But we do know the cost is huge and i find it hard to believe without it being targeted that the treatment is economically sustainable.
I wonder how much money would need to be spent if we used it on everyone currently recieving steroids.
