It's been a discussion for some time.
1 .Those few that can afford the treatment should be allowed to have it regardless of cost. It is there money and it is up to them to determine if they think the therapy is worth the dollars, not the FDA.
2. We already have treatments worth 100s of thousands of dollars to save someone's life in different indications so why is the life of a COVID ARDS patient worth less ?
3. Early studies have identified patients with very poor survival only 7 days into the disease.
4. Cost of the treatment will dramatically decrease with volume.
