And as covid appears to be quite the tough nut to crack, that can't be ruled out from happening.

Given Recce has HREC approval for the project, it is likely waiting for the Research Governance Submission and assessment component of the research application to be completed and authorised. This is conducted by WA Health and the bulk of this relates to a Site Specific Assessment (SSA) for the project vis-a-vis Fiona Stanley Hospital. When it's authorised and signed off Recce will announce it and the trial can begin on the date specified in the clinical trial research agreement.
