Oh yes the colour of the yolks. We also kept many slightly older ones and the eggs were huge. Many double Yolkers. We also gave a few extra hours of electric light in the winter, to trick them into laying one egg a day, all year round. That sounds mean now. We don't use our back garden really, perhaps we should get a few again, but it is a tie, closing them in at night. And I am wondering what is in the pellets?
