Good quality blood and bone is used here. Extra protein in the winter is good for health and laying. In the summer they get grasshoppers lizards and other native ground dwellers as well. All year round they have access to compost heaps and soil making setups based on worm farms, We find barley is the best for winter warming. Spoilt chooks here that's for sure. Australorps and Rhode Island Reds are our choices. Bigger birds do better here.
