You let him get off scot free for completely misleading a crowd who will then use his words as ammo for any misguided conversations they have further down the track.
He or his office did not rectify or state that his comments were inaccurate. All they did was say we must of misheard when it is clear we did not.
"The office said Mr Katter never made that extraordinary claim, and the news reports were based on a mishearing of his words at a rally against vaccine mandates in Cairns on Sunday".
