Censored Truths and Permissible Lies about Vaccines

..We're constantly told that vaccine "misinformation" is contributing to "vaccine hesitancy". Yet the greatest purveyors of vaccine misinformation are the government and mainstream media, and nobody in the mainstream discourse ever says a word. The "fact checkers" never bother to correct official vaccine misinformation.

See, vaccine misinformation is fine as long as it is conducive to the policy goal of achieving high vaccine uptake.

That's why, for example, Facebook's policy states explicitly that if you say that the COVID-19 vaccines are "not approved", your post will be removed and you risk being deplatformed.

It is simply considered socially acceptable to lie to people about vaccines as long as the lies serve to affect their behavior to achieve the desired outcome, whereas it is socially unacceptable to tell the truth if the truth is not conducive toward that end.

We must fight this sickness, this perversity in our society..
