Cases mean zero ( here ), they don't even mean you have symptoms, just that the Covid RNA is in your body, that could mean it it entered last week or last decade as the PCR is just an amplification ( Inventor of PCR Cary Mullis here talking about HIV ).

Long Covid health issues subject will be interesting over the next few years as the studies come through, I think it's too early to really get a grasp on that topic although I do note roughly 153,848,000 cases world wide and only a hand full of clinical studies on long Covid health issues, so I'm happy to wait until there's a lot more.
