Pennsylvania state Dept of Health updates its covid-19 dashboard weekly, with the following update from May 31, 2022. A summary taken from a page Health.pa.gov follows:

“Department of Health's monthly update on COVID-19 post-vaccination cases, commonly known as "breakthrough," includes data from January 1, 2021 to May 11, 2022, which shows the overwhelming majority of cases, hospitalizations and deaths were among unvaccinated, or not fully vaccinated, people:

-69 percent of reported COVID-19 cases were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.

-81 percent of reported hospitalizations with COVID-19 as the primary diagnosis/cause of admission were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.

-77 percent of COVID-19-related deaths among individuals who had an infection date between January 1, 2021 and May 11, 2022 were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.

”The data shows that the COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective for preventing hospitalizations and deaths, even as more post-vaccination cases occur in the context of more transmissible variants and more residents getting vaccinated.

“Why are we Tracking Post-Vaccination Events? Tracking events of COVID-19 that occur after vaccination is important for monitoring public health.

“While COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, some cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are still expected in persons who have been vaccinated, as no vaccine is 100% effective.

“If the incidence or severity of post-vaccination cases increases, this could be a signal of reduced protection against a variant.”

the information suggests that in Pennsylvania along with every other jurisdiction where credible data is collected, the unvaccinated are at higher risk from covid-19 than those who have been vaccinated.

Only 29% of Pennsylvania have taken their booster shot.

The way I read the report,unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated are in the same category,but I may be wrong?
