The problem with the so called testing of the efficiency or otherwise of masks is that the tests are rubbish

If you have a grid and drop a particle onto it the particle has to have enough weight to fall
If you blow a particle against a grid how much pressure are you applying
If there is any sort of air movement what of the aerodynamics in play

All the tests appear to be based on the fact that the particles are smaller than the grid size so game over, and yet they say " we follow " the science

Consequently my opinion is that masks are of some assistance based greatly on Asia where they have been found to be effective, but as to scientific evidence, the clowns don't want any actual facts shown, keep them in the dark policy
