NSW and NZ show different numbers for their hospitalisations which is unusual considering it's the same virus, similar vacine uptake, same season etc.
One can't look at a weeks data in isolation so I have taken the past 9 weeks unvaccinated hospitalisation numbers for each area.
NZ
30, 34, 41, 45, 38, 53, 57, 64, 54. Total 416 from about 5,000 cases.
NSW
0, 1, 4, 0, 0, 2, 0, 1, 2. Total 10 from about 6,000 cases.
They can't both be right, but NZ includes 'ineligible' which I feel is being used to keep the numbers much higher than they really are. It's almost as if they don't want the numbers to get down to single digit percentages.
