Yeh, similar - I have a congenital spine defect that causes great pain, years ago my GP suggested taking prescription drugs gave me a script, I resisted and after a year took the unfilled script back to him, he shook his head and asked "why are you so resistant to taking drugs that ease pain and suffering?" I simply replied if I take away pain how will I ever know if I do something that aggravates my condition? he had no answer.

Today I continue with just just an ounce of caution, think before I act, mitigate anything that can cause further inflammation, some frequent back exercises, eat well, sleep well maintain a good body weight and just carry on with daily activities, yes pain persists but it's something I choose to manage not a drug that manages me.

A pill is not the solution, nor cure!
