    Wrong, old protein-based vaccines did that, these new mRNA drugs don't have any live or attenuated virus, instead they instruct the cells in the body to produce the spike protein in the hope that when the virus comes along the hosts immune system will be familiar to the spike protein and prevent infection.
    The virus mutated, and the drug was no longer effective for the omicron variant.

    Would you go to your doctor and say: " Can I have a dose of last year's flu vaccine please?"
