When you get clots in your legs, like my 40yo old training buddy was just diagnosed with and can barely walk, you can reflect on your attitude and spend plenty of time wondering why you didn't listen when so many were sounding the alarm.
In the meantime, wallow in your arrogance and keep burning your bridges. Just don't expect anyone to be sympathetic when the chickens come home to roost.
