    Yeah AI can be scary sometimes. Even the stuff I've built and programmed myself has scared me and often surprised me with what it came up with. That being said, when AI gets something wrong it gets it terribly wrong.

    Some fundamental problems with AI have been around since the late 1970's which is a bit surprising. The enormous increases in computing power since then have drastically increased the problem sizes AI can handle as well as greatly speeding up the results. What increased computing power doesn't seem to overcome is that small percentage of things AI gets wrong. Again when AI is wrong it is alot wrong, not just off a bit, a totally unmitigated disaster.
