Another blatant example of medical malfeasance comes to mind, this one a bit closer to home. That was the Deep Sleep Therapy of Dr Harry Bailey. It destroyed many lives but he was protected by the white coat mafia. Ultimately he did the right thing and necked himself...but left all his victims behind.
