Never look at what a politician says, but what they do. In the case of the covid scamdemic, health is mostly a state thing, so the federal government was limited. It's also the type of government in power in each state. Take a look at LNP in NSW (bad) and Labor in Victoria (worse). That a health "crisis" should depend in which flavour of government is in power is sad. (I like what DeSantis is doing in Florida).
