Thank you @Greenbod07 for your well referenced. Sudden

https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/abs/10.1161/circ.116.suppl_16.II_635 states, "Sudden adult death syndrome (SADS) accounts for at least 4% of all sudden cardiac deaths in the United Kingdom"

https://n.neurology.org/content/84/14_Supplement/P2.100.short states, "To interrogate the clinical, genetic and pathological findings in two young, asymptomatic adults harbouring the m.3243A>G mitochondrial (mt) DNA mutation found dead in bed and to determine the incidence of sudden adult death syndrome (SADS) in m.3243A>G patients participating in the MRC Neuromuscular Centre Mitochondrial Disease Patient Cohort Study (UK) in Newcastle".

From the first articles we have "at least 4% of all sudden cardiac deaths" are from SADS. I get the impression, rightly or wrongly, that the level of SADS has increased dramatically lately. It would be good to find a plot of SADS versus time to see if the numbers are higher now and if there was a step-wise change at some point.

The second article's scope is limited to "m.3243A>G mitochondrial (mt) DNA mutation". Presumably this is a small percentage of the population and not applicable to what is being reported in the general population. It could be that once some reports of SADS came along it become popular to report such incidents and that all that is happening lately is that news reports are increasing.

If someone could find SADS versus time data, that would prove enlightening. Until then, I remain cautious about the covid vaccines and the vastly increased reporting of SADS.
