Also, remember, doctors are directly and indirectly trained by pharmaceutical companies. They are too busy to read all applicable clinical trials. I suspect medical researchers would however have insights, but you would have to know them personally since they would never say anything the could jeopardise their funding.
In the end, reading (non pharmaceutical company or CDC) studies and reading for and against cases would pay dividends. One thing to look for in the opposing views is links to references. Generally, the more links to references (non pharmaceutical company or CDC), rather that "I'm telling you so", the more likely the case is strong.
