My short interaction, many years ago, with the judicial system in the supreme court taught me one thing "avoid it (legal system) at all costs", if I'd had the funds I would have pursued it to prove people lied, but at the prospect of loosing and having to pay court costs I was advised to settle, I did.

I was both surprised and disappointed how low our 'judicial system' stoops to win at any cost, and how far they will go to save the institution from looking inadequate and treating people unfairly.

But yes it happens every day to people who believe our public institutions have our best interest at heart, and after all in many cases their access to money is limitless as it is usually the taxpayer that funds it.
