Ah yes! The Statin Wars!!! Look it up on youtube. It is a classic case of medical cartel manipulation to expand its user base. The recommended safe rate of Cholesterol has been changed (lowered) at least 3 times in the past 15yrs.
Even my doctor tried to put me on Lipitor as my reading was above that of the Heart Foundation recommended level.
An acquaintance of mine is a pharmacist and he candidly informed me that Lipitor would reduce my risk of stroke by 2%.
I call him an acquaintance because i would never have friends who peddle drugs (lol), suffice to say the prescription has never been filled.
