Especially given the potential backlash that would be directed at the elected officials if it were to be proven and it is these same people who would be responsible for investigating and proving the subterfuge (if there was any).

Sure there’s been a build up of damaging evidence as time passes by some non governmental sources but most government agencies seem to be hell bent on keeping their heads firmly planted in the ground.

The biggest concern is that all the major political groups backed each other and the novel treatments to the hilt.

There’s no political value in having a frank and honest debate on the actual merits or concerns about this “experiment”.
They will all look bad.
