Once you define and identify who these people are (pro-trial) you get to understand there is no science that will change their viewpoint, they are hell bent on continuing. So in essence there is little point in trying to invoke 'humanitarian morality' on them, they won't accept that ideology.

They are by all accounts the harbingers of death!

I really don't think it was about saving anyone , it was about money and population control.
So no, there is no regret, they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams on both counts.
