The only means to mitigate the eventual full control of the state is to diversify across many asset classes as possible, including family members who will not be able to defy the authoritarian state if they work, travel etc etc.

You can't STOP what's happening but you can slow the rate of change down at an individual level, it may give you a further 2 years or so before they come a knocking, and beyond that is anyone's guess.

By the way I'm not a prepper but can foresee how this will play out, nothing ever stops or goes backward.
