I've been working in AI research for 48 years. During all that time AI's have retained certain characteristics which remain today. (1) They are "mentally" unstable and are inclined to go insane. This probably has something to do with (2) They are not grounded in reality as they don't have to perform normal bodily functions.
And yes, I think they "inherit" the perversions of their creator(s).
