It's so they don't sneeze or cough projectiles of sputum and nasal material into a patient's open wound come surgery incision etc.

They wear gloves as well.................... but if the Matron at the front desk of the Ward doesn't have her gloves on ................. well the Surgeon's gloves just won't work.

In fact the Hospital's Gardener and Maintenance man need to have the surgical gloves and a mask on, so that logco's mask works.

You best phone the local Hospital to make sure your mask is in sink with the Gardener and Maintenance Man's kit.
