A democratic right to say No?
    That just makes no sense.

A human right to say No, bestowed to you by God, perhaps. But Australia doesn't have a charter of human rights.

Democracy in Australia is by form of a representative government. These elected representatives are granted authority to create law and in certain circumstances public orders which citizens must obey. Laws and public orders are enforced on the citizens, even if they disagree with them.
So while you may believe you have a "right" to do something, ultimately the laws and public orders have authority over you. With respect to your right to refuse the covid vaccines, nobody was ever forced to take a vaccine, the public health orders just restricted your life if you chose not to comply, in an extreme case I guess refusing vaccines could result in incarceration and forced labour.

Surely you agree, you are subservient to the authority of the Australian Government?
