I find those figures very difficult to believe, but I do know that a surgeon's medical insurance cost in Australia is not cheap, but nothing compared to the cost in the USA where the public is more prone to sue.
And yes, for a number of years, I did work for an American private hospital owner in Australia and spent some time visiting some of their hospitals in the USA.
