Well, people stopped not paying attention to those trying to 'open their eyes' and in doing so:

Thus putting ScoMo in difficult position where he can't talk BS to get fringe conservative vote and became renewables cheerleader.

More like most Victorian’s were sick of being locked up and abused by a tyrant with unchecked power, so took the “only option” in an attempt to return to some form of “normal existence”.
The media and a few here like to conveniently interpret that as “almost everyone recognises it is safe and effective, if you don’t, you are some fringe nutter”.
If you think that 90% of people have a solid understanding of the risks and benefits, or have even the vaguest understanding of the vax trials and their “findings”, then you are living in la-la land imo. Afaict, most people are absolutely unaware of ANY of the detail and key issues, and all they “know” is what is chanted on the tv day-in day-out. Ask people about the data, risk, IFR etc and you will see for yourself. The vast majority have NO clue about these core issues whatsoever. I have some examples I will find and post later.
After the constant abuse and restriction of freedom and movement, people are desperate to get out of Dan’s grip. It’s not about health, and it seems rather clear that the decisions of most people to get jabbed have nothing really to do with health either. It’s the promise of “getting back to normal” that appeals, despite the fact that “covid” was never the problem causing their hardship to begin with, it was the govt rules and restrictions, claimed as being “required” due to covid threat. They keep rattling off the line of “everyone’s been affected by covid”... BS, the vast vast majority have only been affected by restrictions and lockdowns!
But, what can you expect with an 18-month propaganda campaign alongside aggressive censorship and violent enforcement of restrictions.
You think that is “acceptable” in a so-called “free democracy”..?
The aggressive suppression of debate via threats and censorship is a smoking gun that speaks volumes about what has unfolded.
It has been a psychological operation, no doubt about that whatsoever.
If they were 100% legit, all the “solutions” would stand on their merits, there would be full transparency and open debate, and there would be FAR FAR fewer respected professionals and experts expressing dire concern over the process and response.
If the “solution” was so “good”, we would ALL be fighting for it, and there would be no need for threats and coercion. It would sell itself, and ALL the data would be available for review and scrutiny.
The bottom line is that you simply cannot hide from the fact that there is NO understanding of longer-term health impacts, and the effort to understand the short-term impacts and risk factors is pitiful at best. We NEVER take this risky approach and it is absolutely unjustified considering both the overall risk and massively stratified risk profile.
Like I said, I have no reason to be panicking about something for which I have a +99.99% survival chance, and those concepts of “protecting grandma” only potentially hold water if the risks are well understood - which clearly they are NOT; not by a long shot. Why is there aggressive suppression of bad reactions? Where are all the autopsies and earnest investigation of sick/dead people? Why the suppression of effective early safe treatment? Why are they cancelling/censoring world experts and renowned doctors? Why ZERO focus on India etc now? Why ZERO recognition of natural immunity? Why?
They have a campaign and want nothing to stand in its way. Simple. The problem is that the basis of the campaign is effectively “secret” because they will not be open with the data and they will not allow open review and debate. Alarm bells much??? The VAST majority of people have no clue about these issues. They get all their info from TV and censored Facebook. ALL of us here know that is a highly-controlled and highly-censored source of info, and provides no true perspective on the reality of this situation. That is why most people have NO idea of the actual risk of hospitalisation, death etc... they have been fed an exaggeration for 18 months straight, by those they “trust” on the TV. It is not at all surprising, but actually quite sad.
Do you think most people are aware that there are countless thousands protesting in the streets in countries all across the world? Of course not, the tv doesn’t show it. Ask your neighbours what IFR means and what its estimates are, chances are they have no clue whatsoever. Ask them what a PCR “test” is and what it does, they will have NO idea. It’s the blind following the pied piper, and using the numbers to claim they must be “smarter” than others is simply laughable. The difference is that the “others” want answers and detail, not orders. History shows us over and over again that “majority thinks X” does not necessarily equate to “majority are correct”.
Ask people what they know about the detail - you will see for yourself that it is SFA.
Those who have made their bed, fine, go sleep in it. Some of us want more info and details, and demand further transparency and debate, before taking unknown risk. If that is unreasonable to you (choosing not to blindly accept unknown risk for something with such serious potential health outcomes) then I suggest that you have little/no experience with formal risk assessment processes...?
