The latest systematic evaluation of global spread and infection fatality rates of COVID‐19 shows an infection fatality rate with SARS-CoV-2 of only 0.15% - which is similar to severe influenza outbreaks - with a median age of 84 and where the vast majority of those who died too old, ill and infirm to be admitted into ICU.
