I came to Australia 15 years ago from Europe and the biggest difference to me was the way strangers interacted with one another in public. Open, chatty, smiling, joking and generally speaking positive and kind - very different from what I was used to back home and one of the main reasons I am still here.
It took us less then a year to completely break this concept down, with the government feeding in to the situation.
