How good does it have to be to be as effective as the Western counterparts?
Before the O variant came out it was said that African nations were not ranked high on the KungFlu kill-rate-o meter because of their poor health systems and low efficiency at testing for the Vid.
Then S African doctors discovered the O variant virus.
It isn’t certain that the O variant began in Southern Africa and it may have come from Europe.
So that suggests at least 2 things. 1 African based doctors are as good as any others. 2 People who try to suggest that a third world country is somehow inept could be suffering from a racist bias.
