    I suspect vax rates are overstated. If they are, the statistics for the covid vaccinated would look better than they really are and people would also say, "look everyone is getting jabbed". So, it would be advantage for the numbers to be exaggerated.

    In the case of my post, I'm just looking at uptake rates. My main interest is in protecting children from the risks of being covid vaccinated.

    The government can only make so many "mistakes", so although the suspect the quoted numbers are higher than the real situation, the government can only exaggerate so much. The rate of uptake is the figure I'm more interested in.

    Funny thing is that amongst people I know, the uptake is nowhere like 94.7%. I make it at about 80%. Others here have made similar observations. Maybe it's the positive influence of people that frequent this forum on people we know.
