    The nature of a pandemic is that it overruns society. The virus goes viral. The flu virus is much less viral and can't be used as a comparison.
    Viral pandemics push health systems to their limit. I have heard in Australia we'd probably have enough beds in hospitals but not enough staff to look after the very ill occupying those beds. Then of course on top of that you have staff also getting sick and not being able to work!
    Anyway maybe you haven't noticed but the reason for the low number of seriously ill cases and deaths in this country is because of the lockdowns.
    In some countries it didn't need to be as tough as the vast majority trust their governments and follow the rules but in this country, unfortunately there are two many who think rules aren't for them and flout even the simplest of rules like social distancing/masks so like most things in life it's the majority that suffer for the actions of the few!
