Surprised you were not aware , But glad you are now . They were hell bent on persecuting and exterminating anyone and everyone even children of 'Aryan ' German nationals that were merely epileptic were taken away and never to be seen .
After the JEWS , The Gypsies suffered great losses , Same extermination camps as JEWS. But no one ever really talks about the gypsies .
To this day the Gypsies are very much maligned in Europe . Romania has the highest number of gypsies , But they are scattered throughout , In fact the gypsies even have a king .
In central and Eastern Europe they are seen as almost subhuman and of course they do get seriously discriminated all across the old continent . Mind you ,they often do not do themselves any favours though .
It is believed that they were the last of the tribes to move in to the European Continent . They have always been displaced and never had a country of their own .
Other countries / Regions in Western Europe where they reside in high numbers are . Spain , Portugal , France , Ireland and Northern England.
I truly believe the more , one understands history . The more one can have a better understanding of the present .
