Good article. The author draws significant parallels between the cult of "Covidism" and the cult of Nazism. Facebook destroyed the emergency services of NSW (and perhaps the rest of Australia) in a similar fashion. In the case of Facebook vs the RFS/SES they made all non-British immigrants "the other" and fragmented coherence that way. Hence the ever growing shortages of staff during the bush fire and flood emergencies. Neither of those would have developed into full scale emergencies if adequate staff and resources had been available at the beginning of events.
