IMO It's a scare campaign because state premiers are in a political competition to be the first to "save their state". They each want to be the first to reach nonsense "milestones" so they can "win" the "race" and claim political prowess over the others. It is politics, not healthcare. It's disgusting, and the rampant coercion and threats are an insult to the fundamental concept of informed consent.
