However the same rationale when applied to HCQ (an uncontentious treatment for all of the last 70 odd years except for the last 12 months) was enough to see doctors around the world ridiculed, silenced and, in some cases, having their licences revoked for prescribing its use.
Of course that has all changed and now, amongst other things, that Trump has gone, it is permissable for major bodies(AMA, WHO) to concede that such cheap alternatives exist and have largely helped in a lot of covid cases. However, there is not too much promotion of that concession, we wouldn't want to jeopardise the rollout of the first global human mRNA experiment by giving people a cheap, safe and established alternative. That would never do in this newly established nutty world.
