Yup, and over 50% were in aged care facilities. Average age of covid death in Sweden in 86. Life years lost is minimal compared to the life years lost due to lockdown.
Yes, it’s harsh but that’s what it is. Do we want very old people dying six months earlier than they otherwise would have or do we want to kill the economy with the accompanying suicide, poverty and abuse?
What shits me to tears is that ‘the science’ is all epidemiology and they strut onto the ABC like they won Australia’s Got Science. Norman Swan is a scaremongering parasite.
Sure, get an epidemiologist, get an economist, get a demographer, get a whole bunch of them but don’t just give it all to the ‘if it saves just one life’ bloke.
If it saves just one life and costs 200 billion dollars then probably not worth it.
