pintohoo, have you managed to spend time in trying to help a meth user ? I would presume NOT !

Because from my personal experience helping, I can tell you its an intense battle, because while your trying your best to help them out of their situation, you are also being dragged down into their world.

3 years ago I did what I thought was a kind hearted gesture in offering a rental property to a young down & out couple ( with 2 year old child & young Mum pregnant ) within just 3 Months my life & that of my family was becoming torn apart through them destroying the home & not paying rent for 6 Months. Took 6 Months to have them moved on & not through the court system but by giving them cash for keys, as I am not the sort of person to put someone through the legal system ( I despise courts ) although they had signed a legal Qld housing tenancy agreement, to which means very little when tenants decide not to pay rent & refuse to leave.

I did though learn yet another lesson in life, don't let your heart rule your mind & best to let the charity & government organizations handle the lives of drug addicts because the average person is not trained to deal with the lives of these unfortunate people. And YES I do agree that many have been born into terrible environments & not always their choice.

Sadly days of trying to help young users are well & truly over, & now keep to my self.
