Tarvold has said a very important thing - "Feline Coronavirus is the accepted surrogate for EU testing per the standard on the test report for effectiveness against COVID-19."

If we look at the TGA, Therapeutic Goods Administration, which is Australia's regulatory body for therapeutic goods (including medicines, medical devices, gene technology, and blood products), on the 20th March they uploaded an announcement: "Surrogate viruses for use in disinfectant efficacy tests to justify claims against COVID-19". https://www.tga.gov.au/surrogate-viruses-use-disinfectant-efficacy-tests-justify-claims-against-covid-19https://hotcopper.com.au/data/attachments/2084/2084434-df724d84c44ca80936b4e752544d08ac.jpg

As you can see, the TGA have stated that consideration will be given to animal coronaviruses such as Bovine and Feline. Zoono have tested against Bovine coronavirus, Feline Coronavirus and Vaccinia.

In 2014, Zoono tested against Bovine Coronavirus, which is a surrogate recognised by the World Health Organization for other members of the coronaviridae family including the MERS virus (CoV-MERS). However, new testing was required for the new strand of COVID-19. As Tarvold has explained, the latest tests were completed to European Standards. Zoono tested against 'Vaccinia', and against the nominated and globally accepted surrogate 'Feline coronavirus'. SO Zoono has been successfully tested against the surrogate for MERS and the surrogate for COVID-19.

If you search the TGA registry, you can find a summary on Zoono Z-71 Microbe Shield. https://www.ebs.tga.gov.au/servlet/xmlmillr6?dbid=ebs/PublicHTML/pdfStore.nsf&docid=224480&agid=(PrintDetailsPublic)&actionid=1 . In the section 'Intended purposes' - it states "Zoono Z-71 Microbe Shield Surface Sanitiser is an effective disinfectant for hard surfaces against germs, bacteria and COVID-19". SO, under the TGA requirements, Zoono is able to use the claim "protects against COVID-19". Therefore, the test results against the surrogates, fit the requirements of the TGA and thus Zoono Z-71 is able to use the claim.

I'm not knowledgeable on the medical side of viruses etc, so I go by face value!! Zoono fits the requirements of the TGA and have tested successful against the surrogates. That is sufficient evidence that supports the effectiveness of Zoono. PLUS, entities such as the London Underground and Portugals transport system use Zoono. As stated, Zoono tested successful under the European Standards, and these are the standards that European countries... e.g. Portugal..would be following.
